One such story is Tanabata (七夕), Japan's Festival of Wishes. It's a cherished summer tradition that celebrates hope, enduring love, and promises for the future. To celebrate this season, enjoy our exclusive Tanabata privileges from 7 July to 9 August:

Every summer, bamboo branches across Japan are decorated with colourful tanzaku (短冊), each carrying a handwritten wish. Behind this beautiful tradition lies one of Japan's most enduring love stories.
What is Tanabata? Japan's Festival of Wishes
According to the Japanese folkfore, Orihime and Hikoboshi were separated by the Milky Way and allowed to meet only once a year. On that night, if the skies are clear, a bridge of magpies is said to form across the heavens, allowing the two lovers to reunite once more.
Over time, their story became a symbol of enduring love, patience, and the belief that even great distances can be overcome by a promise held close.
Seiran〈星瀾〉: A Japanese Engagement Ring Inspired by Tanabata

Inspired by this season, we introduce Seiran〈星瀾〉, our newest engagement ring design. Its graceful S-curve silhouette allows the engagement ring and wedding band to nest beautifully together, reflecting the harmony of two paths becoming one.
This Tanabata continues to inspire so many expressions of craftsmanship in Japan. Whether through art, literature, or jewellery, the festival reminds us that the most meaningful pieces are often those that carry a story.
At Fujimori Kajita, we believe an engagement ring marks the beginning of a promise just as meaningful. This Tanabata, we celebrate that story through Japanese craftsmanship and a collection inspired by the beauty of the stars.
