What is Your Colour — Seven Years at Takashimaya

As 2025 came to a close, we found ourselves pausing—if only briefly—to look back at a year shaped by movement, conversation, and colour.

It was a year defined by journeys:

from long, light-filled summer days in Sweden,

to desert skies stretching endlessly over Arizona,

to the familiar warmth of sunlight resting on our Taichung storefront.

Each place carried its own rhythm. Each moment left behind a hue—sometimes vivid, sometimes quiet, but always present.

These reflections became the beginning of Sai.

More than a magazine, Sai is a collection of moments. Stories of craftsmanship, of gemstones and the places they come from, of people and paths that crossed ours along the way. It speaks of individuality—of difference, of sensibility, of the quiet confidence found in following one’s own pace. Values that have long shaped how we design, and why we create.

To mark this chapter, we wanted to give form to these memories in a way that felt simple and personal.

Colour, as a Memory

The colours of our anniversary tote bags are drawn directly from the stories within Sai.

A soft grass green, recalling the midsummer season in Sweden—where nature lingers and daylight seems endless.

A vivid Paraíba blue, inspired by open skies in Arizona and Brazil, where rare stones reveal their brilliance under vast horizons.

A gentle pastel yellow, echoing the warm glow of sunlight washing over our Taichung storefront—quiet, familiar, and grounding.

Each colour holds a memory.

Each carries a feeling shaped by place and time.

Over the years, we have come to believe that colour is never just visual. It resonates differently with each person—sometimes reflecting who we are, sometimes the moments we are drawn to, sometimes a season we wish to hold on to a little longer.

Perhaps that is why choosing a colour often feels instinctive.

And somewhere in that quiet instinct, a question begins to take shape.

7 Years at Takashimaya

To celebrate the 7th Anniversary of our Takashimaya store, we are introducing these B5-sized tote bags alongside Sai.

Available from 22 January (Thursday) to 15 February (Sunday), the tote bags will be offered with any purchase, across all our stores—while stocks last.

A small keepsake to carry stories, moments, and perhaps a colour that feels like your own.

Because every journey leaves its trace.

And sometimes, it reveals itself in colour.
